Evolved from the evolutionary XONE:3D, the class-leading Xone:4D from Allen & Heath is a unique performance DJ controller that enables the seamless integration of computer-based digital media into the traditional DJ workspace. It combines a fully featured, high specification professional analog DJ mixer with 105 MIDI controls and a 96 kHz 24-bit, 20-channel Allen & Heath-developed USB 2.0 soundcard. It enables DJs to greatly extend the capability of their digital setup, such as running 4 simultaneous decks in NI Traktor, or by being able to achieve genuine multi-track recording of their sets in applications such as Ableton Live or ProTools. The Xone:4D has been given Traktor Scratch approval by Native Instruments, enabling full compatibility with their encoded vinyl system. In addition to offering outstanding sound quality, the Xone:4D features bright LEDs and a UV reactive paint job that glows in low-light environments. There are multiple inputs for vinyl turntables and CD decks, two effects sends/returns, and 3-band full-cut EQ on every channel. There are also two analog VCF filters with three switched bands, swept frequency, resonance and tap tempo LFO control. The XONE:4D provides two strips of MIDI control with switches, rotaries, faders, and jog wheels. A shift mode enables every control to be mapped to a second function, with a pick-up algorithm that allows the two pages to co-exist in harmony. The built-in sound card has a fast USB 2.0 connection offering 96 kHz/24-bit resolution. The progressive XONE:4D has been developed in conjunction with some of the world’s most cutting-edge DJ/producers to become the ultimate cutting-edge DJ workstation.
